Recurring Tasks

We’ve created a simple video tutorial on how to create recurring tasks. If you’d prefer to see images and text, scroll down and enjoy!

Creating a recurring task is something that can be extremely useful in the workplace, whether it’s just something that you need to remember for the next two weeks, or forever! You can set a task to pop up on your to-do list whenever you want. For this example, I am going to create a recurring task reminding me to submit payroll every week.

Here’s a simple step by step guide on how to set a repeating task.

I am going to start off by creating a task, just like I would for any other task that I needed to be done, once I have typed in the title I would then hit the blue “Save” button.

From there, I would select a date that I want this task to be due, in my case I am going to have my payroll due every Friday.

Once I have chosen my date and time, I am going to click on the button just to the right of the “due date” button, which will say “set to repeat”. Once I click on that, I will see two drop-down menus, the top one is asking me when I would like the reminder to show up on my board, and the second one is asking me the frequency. So in my case, I will set my reminder to be on the “same day” and the frequency to be “every week”.

In my case, since I want my reminder to come to me every week, I will get a third drop-down menu asking me what day of the week I want this task to show up on my board.

Since I don’t see an end in sight for this reminder, I am going to click on the little blue switch that says “forever” next to it. Once I feel like I have all of the settings in place I am going to click on the blue “save” button and I’ll be done!

And just like that, you’ll have a repeating task that will show up every week, month or year to your board!
