Using Chat

We’ve created a simple video tutorial on using our chat feature. If you’d prefer to see images and text, scroll down and enjoy!

We were sick of managing our clients in one application and chatting with everyone in another, so we decided to build chat directly into Yalla. You can use the chat feature to talk with colleagues, clients, and many more. You can also send one-on-one messages.

The first thing you’ll see when you click “Chat” in the top menu bar is the Team Chat for your organization. This is where every member of your team can send GIFs, sounds, and text messages that everyone else on the team will see.

(As you can see, our chats aren’t always the most serious discussions.)

To send a message, just type in the chat bar at the bottom of the screen. You can click the icons at the right end of the bar to send GIFs, sounds, or files.

Other members of the team will get a notification about your chat message, depending on how they’ve configured their notifications. (See our page on system notifications for more info.)
