Can I Assign One Task to Two Users?
We’ve created a simple video tutorial showing how two people can see one task. If you’d prefer to see images and text, scroll down and enjoy!
The reason that we didn’t make it possible to assign one task to two different people is that we wanted to make sure that one person has complete control over that task. There could be instances where two people would be assigned to one task, and the wrong person “completes” the task when the other one still needed it and things could slip through the cracks that way.
But, we understand that there will be times where getting multiple people to see one task is going to be beneficial and in a roundabout way you can!
Follow these simple steps and you can get your task on to multiple people’s boards!
First of all, we are going to create a task just like we would for anything else.
For my example, I am going to be redesigning a logo, but Leah and I were working on this together, so I want this task to show up on her board as well. So I am going to add a “subtask” to my task that I have already created. To do that I am going to click on the subtask button which is located right here.
After I create a subtask, I can assign that subtask to a user by clicking on this “Assign to User” button just to the right of the subtask that I have just created.
In my case I am going to assign it to Leah. Now when Leah logs in she will see on her board that I have assigned her a subtask of my task!
